Radiator Hoses
The development of the automotive technologies has led to the reduction of the engine volume, the addition of air conditioning in the coupe, the addition of turbo compressors and electric conduction. The result of this is a large increase of the operating temperature inside the car. These high temperatures require the auto parts to be cooled, so for that purpose radiator hoses where the coolant circulates should be used. The contemporary radiator hoses are produced from EPDM rubber, which is able to withstand working temperatures with a range of -40°C to 125°C.
Due to the small volume of the engine compartments, coolant hoses should be flexible, in order to have an optimal use of the space provided. This flexibility makes them applicable in many types and sizes of vehicles. The radiator hoses should resist the pressure in the working environment of the car engine. They should also be able to resist the vibrations, produced by the running engine, and last but not least they should be able to resist the harsh environmental conditions. For greater durability radiator hoses are produced adding a reinforcement layer.
The DexyFlex hoses for coolants are rubber hoses, designed for the distribution of water and/or coolants, like antifreeze, oils, etc. The Radiator L/L, Radiator-ISI RAD and Radiator 3 have a three layer design, the inner tube is made from a rubber resistant to the effects of coolants, oils and high temperature. Their protective layer is made from a highly resistant rubber, which provides protection from the weather conditions and slows down the aging process. For a higher resistance and durability, this type of hose has incorporated two reinforcements made of textile braids.
The DexyFlex hoses could be applied in the hot water transportation, coolants and oils in the cooling systems of cars and stationary engines. Their temperature range is from -40°C to +125°C.
