AC hoses are a basic part of the air conditioning system of an automobile. Their main function is to cool and absorb moisture from the air, as to provide comfortable travelling.

In the automotive industry the transportation of the cooling agent is done with the help of freon hoses (A/C hoses) not by tubes, as it’s done with stationary air conditioning mechanisms. The main reason for that are the vibrations of the engine, which require flexible connections between the components of the air conditioning system.These components are connected into a semi-closed circuit, as on one side a high pressure is maintained, while on the other side: low pressure. The freon hoses connect the engine with the passenger cabin of the car, and the difference in the pressure allows the circulation of the cooling agent. That cooling agent lowers the temperature in the automobile’s passenger compartment. It is very important that the AC is being maintained in good exploitation condition, including checking the AC hoses for damage and leaks. The hoses from Dexyflex Galaxy 4826 and Galaxy 4890 have improved flexibility and a covering that reduces access of moisture.

The two hoses have outer covering made from CR rubber (neoprene), also Galaxy 4826 is with inner covering made from EPDM rubber, which is compatible with fire-proof hydraulic fluids, ketones, etc. The hose Galaxy 4890 contains improved polyamide barrier between two elastomer layers. The hoses are especially adjusted for working with R134A, R-12, most mixtures for defrosting , freezing and compressor lubricant.
