Thermoplastic hoses
Thermoplastic hoses have multiple advantages compared to hoses made from regular rubber. Their use leads to lower costs as well as increasing security and effectiveness during transferring of different substances and solutions.
The thermoplastic hoses are characterized with resistance to weather influences and corrosion. Their low conductivity protects them from voltaic and electrolytic wear. Their resistance to corrosion is high enough for them to be used in acidic and alkaline mediums.
This type of hose is very light in comparison with hoses made from other materials. Therefore it provides easy installation and exploitation, easy transportation and moving of the hoses without the use of additional equipment. All of that combined lowers costs during their exploitation.
Thermoplastic hoses from Dexyflex have very little resistance when transferring substances. This means less demand for energy, which in turn saves resources. Also, because of the lesser friction during the transfer of substances, the hoses can be made with smaller diameter, which increases the efficiency of their use.
Thermoplastic hoses are also characterized with great flexibility, in comparison with other materials used for the manufacturing of hoses. This ensures their easy use, installation and connecting in different tube systems. Their flexibility allows them to pass through tight spaces as well as the use of fewer fittings.
Hoses made from thermoplastic material have low thermal conductivity, which results in minimal loss of heat and minimal need of isolation.
Another characteristic of thermoplastic hoses is their chemical resistance. Most substances or mixtures, with high chemical activity do not react with plastics, as opposed to rubber or metal.
Thermoplastic hoses from Dexyflex have highly resistant to abrasion. Their inner layer withstands the transfer of abrasive substances and mixtures like soot, dust and the like, while being relatively smooth for optimal transfer.
Since the thermoplastic hoses are not influenced by the effect of the aggressive substances in the soil, they are resistant to rust, corrosion and peeling, therefore their maintenance is minimal. Hoses made from quality material, assembled and buried underground can last years without the need of being repaired.
Some of the uses for thermoplastic hoses are:
